Treatment System for Catalyst Containing Valuable Metals
Petroleum refining enterprises produce a large amount of waste catalyst in production operations. The treatment system for catalysts containing valuable metals developed by Dongtai allows it to apply plasma technology to the comprehensive utilization and treatment of such hazardous waste. Through melting of waste in a plasma oven the system can extract from waste catalysts such rare metals as cobalt, nickel, molybdenum, vanadium, etc. The slag can be used as a raw material to produce cement. This technology has won the third prize of National Technology Advancement and is sponsored by the National Technology Innovation Funds for Small-and-Medium Sized Scientific and Technological Enterprise. Dalian Zhuorui Resource Recycling Co., a subsidiary of Dalian DongTai took over this patent and engaged in waste catalyst processing and products marketing. The capacity of Dalian Zhuorui now is 5000t/a, the overall program capacity is 10000t/a. According to our schedule, Zhuorui is expected to commence its operation in May 2008. The products including: nickel sulfate, cobalt sulfate, ammonium molybdate, ammonium metavanadate etc. |
